chamfered legs are connected by X-stretchers which are in turn connected by cross-stretchers set in from the ends to allow seating on all four sides

Carved Continental Chest Consoles and Sideboards crest railA carved walnut chest of two short drawers over one long drawer. The drawer fronts are carved with a Green Man motif on each panel surrounded by scrolling grape vines. The top is inlaid with a series of diamonds. The sides are built of fielded panels and mounted with a heavy iron carrying handle. Possibly Spanish or Italian. Circa 1660 Origin Continental Stock# Width 39. 75" Depth 23" Height 34. 25"
