No longer was I looking at just a stallion

Boy was I wrong

In the heat of summer we would swim and jump in it from a swinging rope tied to a nearby tree limb

and close them to hear the dark

As it so happened when I woke the next morning Kodiak was totally fogged in cancelling all travel for the day

Grace Size:24"x30" No longer was I lookingI took this picture of a Ring billed gull on a bright early morning at a lake near my home in Minnesota. It was fairly windy that day but this bird seemed to have no problem gracefully negotiating the gusts as he peered down into the water looking for a meal. But what I really saw was an animal living out its existence with no ego, no agenda other than that of being one of Gods creatures and wearing Gods love. It reminded me of the following passage:
