French Antique Confit Pot with Green Glaze, Early 19th Century 12" Albarello Jar Display this pottery jar inA French antique confit pot from the South West of France, dating to the early to mid 19th century. Hand thrown in terracotta, the pot has a classic, gently tapered form with two loop handles and a slightly flared rim. Originally fully glazed to the upper half, now gently worn with age, with areas of glaze loss revealing the surface beneath. The lower half remains unglazed, as was traditional, allowing the pot to regulate temperature when used for
