The nose gives bright, fresh fruit Morello cherries, sloes and hints of cedar and oak. Very much an example of a modern, flashy St. Julien, the palate is dense and opulent full of the soft, yielding fruit for which the 2009's are famous, all held taut by a fine weave of tannic structure.
