Painting them is a great way for me to use restraint with my color choices in order to not overly complicate the look of the painting

I took the time to explore its beautiful gardens

And Michigan has orchards everywhere

I arranged them in a green glass with some Pink Muhly grasses and snapped some reference photos while the sun was hot and shadows were strong

Seeing him tending to his garden made me appreciate the art of growing organic produce

This dreamy scene is based in reality, however some things I altered. I deleted all the people that were surrounding Tino and inserted myself and my dog sitting on the steps in the background. I think it made the painting more interesting and mysterious. What do you think? Oil on Premier Cotton Stretched Canvas.
