Montana I had climbed the hill next to the University of Montana many morning to photograph the fall colors

Once I found the location again I searched nearby for better areas and set-up my tripod be aware of small cactus in the area as well

leaving me better prepared as I head back to the area this spring

I looked across the Gastineau Channel and noticed the low clouds on Douglas Island with the fresh snow from some rain which had fallen earlier in the day on the peaks

I noticed the patterns formed by the stairs and building not just the lines but also the texture and shine of metal

One of the things I noticed was the motion of the water coming in and the rock which was being covered on each iteration. Using the low light to my advantage I was able to use a slower shutter speed on my camera and capture the motion from the water in the image.
