These porcelain coasters have been inlaid with cowparsley flowers and glazed black to accentuate the floral pattern

which becomes stronger as more light is let through the shade

The client wanted a unique tile picture for her home based around an olive tree. I came up with a couple of ideas initially and then I did lots of glaze and texture tests. The finished design was made using textures I'd collected from local olive trees.
