開催当時、小学６年生だったという作者、グラフィック・デザイナーのチェ・ジウン。韓国で初めて開催されたオリンピックの祭典の興奮、そのデザインに強く影響を受けた彼は、ソウルオリンピックに関するものを無条件に収集し始める。本書はそうして子供時代から集められた資料を中心に、それらを本に綴りたいという思いから出版された。

現代のデザイナー、メイカーたちが物語を伝えるのにオブジェクトをどのように用いているか？を探求することをテーマにした展覧会「CRAFTING NARRATIVE」。イギリスのCrafts Council の企画により、ゲストキュレーターにオンカール・ケラーを迎え構成された。アバケ、マティーノ・ガンパーをはじめ、13名の作家が参加。レコードジャケット型でテキストを中心にしたものと、図版を収録した２冊が収められている。
