The candlesticks are beautifully decorated with ribbon and floral designs around the socle, on the shaft and on the base. One side of the shaft on each candlestick has a blank oval cartouche, while the other side has an oval cartouche with a monogram of BT in elegant script. This monogram would be easy to camouflage by displaying the candlesticks with this side to a wall,
