セルフポートレートを題材に写真とビデオ作品などを国内外で制作しているfumiko imanoによる、モノクロ写真集。 おもに自宅周辺で取られた、自然や身の回りの動物たちなど、親密なモチーフとセルフポートレイトを中心に構成された作品集。

本書のモチーフは、王族の気品や、戦争、美しい女性を連想させるイギリスの象徴とも言える イングリッシュローズ。本作を撮影するため、著名なバラ育種家であるデイビッド・オースティン・ローズの協力のもと、彼らの本部に小さな撮影スタジオを設置。花の色と対照的なブルーバックで、 様々な品種を撮影した。
