It was made under the creative direction of Alexander McQueen. The program notes told the audience of the Spring 2009 runway show that Mcqueen had been thinking of Charles Darwin's theory of the survival of the fittest and 'the deleterious results of industrialization on the natural world'. The show was title 'Natural Dis tinctions, Un Natural Selection' and the
