A really wonderful piece and a rarity to find

It falls to the floor and is suspended from the shoulder with pretty straps

A testament to how great design stands the test of time

At the waist is set orange satin bands that meet at the front in a large flat bow above a zipper closure

Note that there is a teeny bit of foxing on the skirt but it lies under the wrapped portion of the front so is not seen at all when on - it is so light I could not even get a photo of it so it in no way detracts or reduces the value of the dress

The effect of that dusky lavender against the taupe silk with a slight purple undertone mixed with the anchoring black cuffs, collar and fringe is amazing.
